Description
Farnesol is a colorless liquid that naturally exists in essential oils such as ylang ylang, palmarosa, acacia, tuberose, jasmine, and orange blossom. It has a soft floral and sweet aroma. It is insoluble in water but soluble in a variety of organic solvents. As a sesquiterpene alcohol, it has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and can modulate cellular messaging.
